Philadelphia, PA (PRWEB) June 11, 2015

The University City Science Center is joining forces with a Swiss tech park to make it easier for entrepreneurs to conduct international business.

The newly established partnership with Yverdon Technology Park (Y-PARC) will allow Swiss companies located at the Science Center to gain a foothold in the Greater Philadelphia region and for Philadelphia-based companies to gain traction and business in Switzerland. This type of foreign exchange, organized through the Science Centers Global Soft Landing Program will help international companies ease the transition when establishing operations in the reciprocal region and incubator.

Through the collaborative Soft Landing Program, participating entrepreneurs will receive space in the Science Centers Port business incubator and Y-PARCs incubator, as well as personalized support services, cultural coaching and counseling, and logistical support for travel and accommodation.

To celebrate the partnership, the Science Center and Y-PARC are holding a Global Biomedical Startup Pitch Competition on June 17th. The program will run from 6:30 9:00 p.m. at Quorum at the University City Science Center, 3711 Market Street, Suite 800.

During the competition, Swiss National Startup team members will compete with Philadelphia-based biomedical entrepreneurs for the title of Global Biomedical Pitch Champion. Representing the United States and the Science Center are: AUM LifeTech, Biodetego, Evol Science, RegDesk, Denovo Health, Ristcall and TowerView Health. HYLOMPORPH, CellSpring, Lambda Health System, SimplicityBio, Polyneuron Pharmaceuticals, rqmicro and ZuriMED Technologies will represent the Swiss National Startup team. The competition will be judged by local angel investors.

The event is free of charge and will close with a networking reception. For details or to register, visit http://sc.ticketleap.com/biopitch2015/.
